Bohemian Crystal Sightseeing Tour

The Czech Republic is famous for glass making, with over 200 glass works spread throughout the country. Our half day sightseeing excursion visits one of the most famous crystal works located near Prague, the prestigious Bohemian Crystal Factory.

After picking you up from your Prague accommodation, we take a 45 minute journey into the Czech countryside to reach the factory.

We start with a guided tour of the crystal company's workshops, with an in-depth and close up view of the craftsmanship and skill of the Czech glassmakers. Admire the craftsmanship of the crystal masters - the blowers and the cutters.

We learn the history of their profession, both at this glass factory and in the Czech Republic as a whole. Visitors may even be able to try out glass blowing for themselves!

At the end of the tour we allow time to browse the onsite shop, which stocks a variety of glass products produced in factory. An ideal opportunity to buy high quality crystal for reasonable prices, considerably cheaper than in Prague.

For refreshments, there is a refreshment stall in the grounds of the factory.

Budapest by night + dinner

Dinner will be served in the Buda Castle District in an old-world restaurant, where delicious food will be accompanied by gipsy music. After a brief stroll, we shall enjoy the view of Budapest by night from Halászbástya (the Fishermen’s Bastion), where photos can be taken. Next, the view of floodlit public buildings along the river Danube can be enjoyed as we pass across Lánchíd (Chain Bridge). After driving along Andrássy út, the famous Budapest boulevard, we shall reach Hõsök tere (Heroes’ quare) where we shall stop again for taking photos. The tour ends in downtown
